Just Cause Flowers began with a simple question: can giving something beautiful create something beautiful beyond the gift itself?
We're a florist first. We love flowers, we love giving them and we love the little bit of joy that arrives with a bouquet at someone's door.
But we also recognise that traditional floristry can come with an environmental cost.
So we decided to approach things differently.
We've considered the impact of our flowers from sourcing to delivery and designed our business around reducing that impact wherever possible. We prioritise Australian-grown, seasonal flowers, keep our range intentionally small, avoid floral foam and single-use plastics, and choose recyclable or biodegradable materials wherever we can.
Reducing our impact isn't where we want the story to end.
Our ambition is to create a business that contributes more than it takes. Supporting Australian growers, contributing to environmental restoration, helping protect wildlife and continually looking for better ways to operate.
Sometimes you don't need a reason to show someone you love them.

WHY SUCH A SMALL RANGE?

It's intentional.
Flowers are perishable, and a huge catalogue can mean unnecessary waste. We keep our core range deliberately considered — typically sunflowers, natives, whites and roses — alongside our rotating Just Cause seasonal bouquets.
This allows us to buy more thoughtfully, work with what's locally available and in season, and minimise unnecessary flower waste without compromising on beautiful choices.
WHAT IS THE SLOW FLOWER MOVEMENT?

The Slow Flower Movement champions flowers that are grown closer to home, seasonally and with greater consideration for the people and environment behind them.
Rather than relying on flowers flown long distances simply because they're available year-round, we prioritise locally grown Australian blooms and work with the seasons.
It means our flowers may change throughout the year.
and that's exactly the point.
